  • March 1st, 2009 – COMPOSITION PERFORMANCE – Grinnell College Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Mark Dorr, will perform Brian’s marimba quartet “Purdy’s Maze” in their spring concert.
  • April 3rd, 2009 – COMPOSITION PREMIER – NEXUS Percussion Ensemble premiers Brian’s arrangement of John Cage’s “Chess Pieces” for mallet ensemble at the Orangeville Opera House in Orangeville, Ontario.
  • April 5th, 2009 – COMPOSITION PERFORMANCE- NEXUS Percussion Ensemble performs Brian’s arrangement of John Cage’s “Chess Pieces” for mallet ensemble at the Glenn Gould Studio at the CBC Building in Toronto.

  • April 9th, 2009 – COMPOSITION PERFORMANCE – The Elmhurst College Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Bob Rummage, will perform Brian’s arrangement of Joe Carucci’s “Saturday at the Buckley’s”, as well as his original pop ensemble chart “Could Be Anything” with special guest Ndugu Chancellor at their spring concert.
  • April 19th, 2009 – GUEST ARTIST – University of Tennessee at Martin. Includes Brian performing as soloist on Paul Rennick’s “Slopes”, as well as performances of “Purdy’s Maze”, his pop-ensemble “Could Be Anything”, and a clinic appearance.

  • Summer 2009 – Brian will be on tour with the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps teaching the Crusaders front ensemble.

  • December 7th, 2009 – COMPOSITION PREMIER – Omar Carmenates will give a lecture recital at Florida State University featuring the premier of multiple new works including Brian’s Thief for marimba and metal pipes.

  • March 8th – 14th, 2010 – COMPOSITION PREMIER – The Denkyem Percussion Group will premier a new percussion sextet by Brian entitled Sharps as featured artists at the “Promising Artists of The 21st Century” Festival hosted by the North American Cultural Center, Costa Rica.
  • March 9th, 2010 – CLINIC – Brian will be serving as an adjudicator and clinician for the Mandan High School Band Festival in Mandan, ND.
  • March 13th, 2010 – PERFORMANCE – Brian will be performing with the Bismarck-Mandan Wind Ensemble at the NDNBA Junior High All-State Band.
  • March 20th, 2010 – US PREMIER – The Denkyem Percussion Group will have the US Premier of Brian’s new percussion sextet on Luis Rivera’s Chamber Recital at Florida State University.
  • March 20th & 21st, 2010 – PERFORMANCE – Brian will be performing Carmina Burana with the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra in Bismarck, ND.
  • April 11th, 2010 – PERFORMANCE – Brian will be performing with the Missouri Valley Chamber Orchetra in Bismarck, ND.
  • April 16th, 2010 – PERFORMANCE – Brian will be heading to Furman University to perform the U.S. premier of John Luther Adams’s Inuksuit as a part of the university wide “Furman Engaged” event. The composer along with Steven Schick and many others will be participating in this event. More information can be found here.
  • Summer, 2010 – Brian will be on tour this summer with the Boston Crusaders.

  • September 17th, 2010 – PERFORMANCE – Brian will be performing in a special concert “Music in the White House: 1901-1909” as a part of a presentation by Dr. Tim Justus at the Theodore Roosevelt Symposium held at Dickinson State University.
  • September 25th, 2010 – PERFORMANCE – Brian will be performing with the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra in Bismarck, ND.
  • October 7th, 2010 – PRESENTATION – Brian will be presenting a clinic entitled “The Compositional Process – From Conception to Completion” at the North Dakota University Systems Arts and Humanities Summit. Brian will be discussing the process behind the writing of his piece “Thief” for solo marimba and tuned metal pipes, and conclude the presentation with a performance of the work.
  • October 8th, 2010 – PERFORMANCE – Brian will be playing in a performance of Claude Bolling’s “Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano” as a part of the North Dakota University Systems Arts and Humanities Summit.
  • October 23rd, 2010 – PERFORMANCE – Brian will be performing Rachmaninoff’s “Symphonic Dances” with the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra in Bismarck, ND.

  • July, 2011 – RECORDING – Brian will be assisting Omar Carmenates with recording his new CD at Florida State University which will feature Brian’s pieces …folded… and Thief which was commissioned by Omar.
  • September 13th, 2011 – COMPOSITION PERFORMANCE – Brian will perform his piece Thief on the Dickinson State University Faculty Showcase Concert, as well as the first movement of David Maslanka’s Song Book with DSU Director of Bands Dr. Michael Compton.
