Program Notes:

55 Bells is my attempt of writing a piece for vibraphone duo in the tradition of piano works such as the Schubert Fantasy in F minor and Shostakovich’s Suite in F-sharp minor, Op. 6. The meaning behind the title and music is left to the performer or listener.

55 Bells was commissioned by Matthew Geiger for his doctoral performance recital at the University of Kentucky.
